Maintenance
Our in-house A&P and IA ensures all components of our aircraft are in perfect condition keeping our planes safe and in the skies!
Engine Overhauls
All of our engines are overhauled at 2,000 hours in accordance with factory recommendations.
What is an overhaul?
Engine overhauls are a standard practice on all aircrafts’ engines to ensure safety.
Be it an Airbus or a Cessna, all engines, jet or piston are overhauled.
So how is an overhaul done? The engine is removed from the plane and completely torn down for a thorough cleaning and inspection of components. Here any damaged parts are replaced or repaired and the engine is reconstructed.
100 Hour Inspections
While not required, we complete 100 hour inspections on our aircraft to ensure they are in the best condition allowing our airplanes to be safe in the sky where they belong.
What is a 100 hour inspection?
100 hour inspections are most similar to a physical at a doctor’s office. During these inspections, the structural components of the plane are checked to find signs of stress or damage. Also, aircraft lights and landing gear bearings are checked, and finally the oil is changed.
Annual Inspections
All our aircraft go through comprehensive annual inspections by our IA mechanics.
What is an annual inspection?
Every 12 months each of our aircraft are inspected by our IAs where every bolt, screw, rivet and surface is inspected for wear, cracks, and fatigue from vibration or stress. Every aircraft components is inspected including every wire, hose and line. It is a tedious job, but identifying something that needs repair or replacement helps keep the plane flying safely.
